Description
Submariner 40mm 1680 (93150) Double Red Error! Unique DOUBLE RED Sea-Dweller Submariner Rolex, "Oyster Perpetual Date, Sea-Dweller, Submariner 2000, 2000 ft./610 m., Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified," Ref. 1680. Made in 1969. Fine and very rare, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel diver's wristwatch with date and a stainless steel Rolex Flip lock Oyster bracelet. This watch is sold with recent Rolex service papers (detailing dial error as original) and fitted box. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, graduated black bi-directional revolving bezel for the decompression times, trip lock winding crown protected by the crown guard, crystal with cyclops lens. This was an error released by Rolex. Rolex applied a Sea-Dweller dial on a Submariner case pressure proof to1000 ft. Rolex attempted to replace dial but customer refused as stated on Rolex service documents/invoice. This is a rare Rolex and could be the only example. It is in as new condition.
